Okay, so I was not going to complain, but I mean how can you not?... we go from the Captain Commander putting in some serious work, and then a recap! Wow this is starting to feel like Naruto all over again where they had a season of random filler episodes for such a reason that I do not know why (nor do I think is actually very valid). I mean granted this episode did "fit" with the storyline, but who wants to see Ichigo make friends at school or see him fight Ulquiorra? I mean there is no comparing the two. And if one would like to see more filler instead of the actual show, then I think that there should be a filler only bleach called Bleach 2.0 or something else. This would be like watching 24 only to find out after episode three that they want to do a 24 light with Jack Bauer having some type of social life for 10 episodes. Who really wants to wait 2 1/2 months for the show to actually get back on track? If I were funding this show (which obviously I am not), I would stop funding it for this reason. Like I said before, this is a nice episode, but really, we are past nice episodes we are at the point when it is all out war between Soul Society and Aizen with Ichigo trying to save Inoue and the Vizards missing in action! It is time to fight! If there were ever a need to define a summer it would have to consist of enjoying a good show uninterrupted. Hopefully they will not take after Naruto anymore and make entire seasons of filler.moreless
  • Thankfully, a very interesting filler.

When I saw this episode I breathed in relief. This was a very interesting filler. I liked that the developments were before everything was bad. Before Aizen left Soul Society. I loved the scene where Rangiku was dreaming about someone :D could it be someone we know? :D :)
It surprised me that Asano at first was in bad touch with Ichigo but then he wanted to be friends with him . MIzuiro is really a nice person. I thought he was nothing special but he really is very kind, nice and very friendly. The next episode seems to be about the beach! Sounds great :)moreless
  • Follows from the perspective of Mizuiro Kojima. Set back to the day Rukia was assigned to the real world, and Renji was promoted.

Following Mizuiro Kojima's perspective: we were showed the day Rukia was assigned to the real world, Renji was promoted and Ichigo starts high school. You see the first time Chizuru Honshō expresses her love for Orihime, and Tatsuki's first fending her off. Ah, good times. It was a very good episode. It fits so well into the continuity, in this author's opinion, that it might as well not be filler (it might not even be as i don't read the manga).

It was also very heartwarming, exciting, and somewhat of an odd form of nostalgia, seeing many of the characters well known, meeting each other for the first time.moreless
