  • This show is about an Irish Catholic Priest in a small Parish in Great Britain, his Curate, father Boyd, and his spunky housekeeper Mrs. Pring. Father Duddleswell is an irascible yet lovable man played to a "T" by Arthur Lowe.

While Father Duddleswell tries to keep the parish of St. Jude up and running he works to keep his young Curate on the straight and narrow. His neighbor, Billy Buzzle, tests his faith and the good Dr. Daily keeps the parish in good health while just a wee bit over the legal limit. Father Duddleswell has a love/hate relationship with Mrs. Pring, (played wonderfully by Gabrielle Daye) the housekeeper and the Mother Superior (played by Sheila Keith). Daniel Abineri, who plays the young Curate, Father Boyd, is extremely handsome and talented. Talent and good looks he later wasted. However, this series is sure to please people of any faith as they peek into the daily life of just a few of the servants of this fictional church. Hearty laughs, and gentle smiles.
