7/3/97Dr Sam Bliss is asked for a second opinion on a death from an usual symptoms. When a second person dies with the same symptoms, Bliss suspects an outbreak of bubonic plague.
6/26/97Dr Sam Bliss runs over a teenaged boy, causing head injuries. He takes the boy to hspital, but his mother has him discharged. Investigating further, Bliss discovers that the boy suffers from fits, blackouts and mood swings, but that his mother will not take hom to see a doctor. When he discovers that the boy has severe bruising on the boy, Bliss decides to take matters into his own hands.moreless
6/19/97Travelling by train, Zoe Bliss sees a girl die from multiple stab wounds. Dr Sam Bliss reports the matter to the police, but they can find no evidence to support her story. When, the next day, a murder occurs exactly as Zoe described, Bliss decides to investigate.
6/12/97Dr Sam Bliss is working on a malaria vaccine, but the work is suspended when a student dies during trials. When a second student dies, Bliss decides to investigate.
10/11/95Dr Sam Bliss, investigating a cure for the common cold at a leading research centre, learns of the Duboys family, members of which have been exceptionally long-lived. Bliss decides to track down survivors, hoping that they might carry a gene that could help extend the human lifespan, but stumbles upon a bizarre series of murders, in which the victims have been bled to death.moreless
