      • Hal Roach Studios made a few aborted attempts to launch Blondie in syndication. Pamela Britton even starred in a 1954 pilot called "One Gun Bumstead." By 1956, the series was set for syndication, then NBC decided to pick the up the program. The NBC series was sponsored by Toni Company. Sunkist and Wesson Oil were previously set to sponsor the syndicated broadcasts.

      • Most records indicate that Penny Singleton of the Blondie movies was not asked to reprise the title role for television because she was close to 50 years old at the time. However, the slightly older Arthur Lake made the transition to television.

      • Some sources give the title of this episode as "Sudden Wealth."
