Although a major character in the books, Tony -- a runaway turned male hooker turned informant from Vicki's police days -- does not appear in the series. This was the unfortunate result of another company owning the tv/film rights to Tanya Huff's Shadow Trilogy, a spinoff taking place after the Blood Books and featuring Tony as the lead character. In his place, Coreen was moved up from a one book 'guest' to Vicki's assistant.
