    • Although there is not specific person called Javier Mendoza linked to the Inquisition, the House of Mendoza was a very prominent and talented Spanish family that, during the 14th to the 17th centuries, counted among their members not only great military, ecclesiastic and political figures, but also writers and poets.
    • Iluminación del Sol literally translated from Spanish means Lighting or Shinning of the Sun.
    • Canon Law (Canon in Greek means Rule) is the body of laws and regulations made by or adopted by ecclesiastical authority, for the government of a Christian organization and its members. It applies, with variations, to the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox churches, and the Anglican Communion of churches.
