  • Mao meets up with Okamura. Poor Okamura...

Another transition-type episode, but this one has a little more meaning to it than the last one. Mao is angry at Kai for not seeing her before he left again, and meanwhile Okamura decides to get to the bottom of what he witnessed at the boarding school.

I'm really liking this Okamura guy, so I felt really sorry for him when Mao bullied him into driving her to the airport with $500,000 so they can go to look for Kai together.

This leaves me with mixed feelings. I hope Okamura finds what he's looking for, because I'm really interested in knowing what will happen when this comes to light, but I hope Mao doesn't find Kai. I would be too scared for him.moreless
  • 2 degrees of seperation. Okimura, tracking both his only lead and a photo from his father's past, begins to trace the footsteps of Cinq Fleche. Encountering Mao, Okimura bites off more than he can chew; Mao now sees Okimura as a link to finding Kia.moreless

Another good ep. It takes more than one thread toweave a tapestry!! I did notice that some of the dialogue was different from the orginal japanese. I will say that I like the original script better. Although, I like the english voices better. Anyway, I digress. Mao is growing on me. I didn't like her character at first, but I like her spunk...she seemed to get less pushy and more determined than when she first appeared. For me, the jury is out on the reporter. Okimura seems to be just smart enought to get himself into a cubit-butt load of trouble. He can see the pieces he is putting together, but he doesn't undertand the big picture, the lion's den he is walking into. I found it amusing how Mao was able to extort Okimura's assistance. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.moreless

    • Okamura: Will you please let me go to France? I'm on the verge of breaking a really huge story.
Takeda: Hmm? You just got back from Vietnam, and now you want to go to France? You idiot! You actually think I would waste more valuable time and money on you? If you're gonna go, you'll have to use your severance pay and your own damn money!
Okamura: So, I guess the answer is no?
