"Superb"

Saya is still the victim of that mysterious song, and eventually loses it, injuring anything in sight, apparently some of her own teammates as well. The woman Clara died, which actually saddened me.

Saya finally gets a hold of herself and continues her fight with Carl. She cuts him, but he amputates his own leg in order to escape, the bastard...but what can I say? I love his maniac-ness. I have the feeling that won't be the last we see of him.

Riku's friend Mui also begins transforming into a Chiropteran, presumably because of the experiments she was put through. (It made me wonder though, did they do the same to Riku? They failed with Kai...)

Much to everyone's dismay, the container carrying Diva got away along with the other Chevalier. Of course, if they did manage to capture the container, the story would already be drawing to a close, wouldn't it? I can wait.moreless

Kia and Riku escape the clutches of Cinq Fleche. Saya recovers from going berserk when she hears Kai's voice. Saya vows aloud to herself as much as to Karl that she will fight this battle to the end. She open recognises her duty and her role in destiny.moreless

"Perfect"

I liked this ep as well...a good companion to the previous ep. Where Saya whimps out before, she now takes up the sword. I suspect that the writers want to keep Karl alive...poor anti-social nut-job, keeps losing body parts. Of course, Karl seems to fight recklessly, so it serves him right. David, almost oblivious to the battle of the chiropterans around him, focuses only on the container hold the sleeping Diva. Just as he is about to make his move, she is lifted way by Cinq Fleche.

On Kai and Riku - these two seem to be getting some flack. I like both the characters and their subplots compliment the main story thread well. For example, even in this ep, Kai's presences helped kept Saya from going over the edge. Does Saya remain 'good', in the Aristotelian semse, without her family? Or does she revert and stay with her Chiropteran nature? What if her only human input was from Davil and Julia? Would she be better off? I do not believe so.moreless

Man, and I thought "Lured into the White Mist" was off the wall. Take that episode, and multiply it by 10. I guess this is what Carl meant by Saya being "fully awake." She turned into a downright crazed killer. I mean, crazed killers against the enemies, even though she killed Clara in her trance. Sad, but there wasn't time to mourn anybody in this episode. I knew back in Episode 9 that Mui was going to turn into a Chiropteran. What did you think were in her pills, Vicodin? No way, it was Delta 67, and she mutated just at the right time... I felt so sorry for Riku... he loved Mui, and now she turned into a mindless monster. I can't stand everyone saying that Kai and Riku should just die. They're part of the show people, deal with it! They support Saya and motivate her to know that she's still got someone to live for.moreless
