  • Saya goes to an all girls school because of a connection to the wine that the red shield found. She hears a legend about a phantom from an annoying girl, and, in anime style she ends up fighting him.moreless

This was the very first episode of Blood+ I ever saw. I don't think I could've found a better one. The red shield send saya to an all girls school ruled by an evil no, strict nun. She gets a roommate named Min, who is so annoying I could scream! She shows Saya around and teaches her rules and stuff. But, she did introduce the Phantom, named Carl. So then one night, Saya heara noise or something in the bell tower. She goes to investigate and bam! Suddenly she's fighting Carl. And losing, until Hagi, her loyal chevalier, come to the rescue. Together, they manage to fend off Carl, and Saya is removed from the school soon after. The Red Shield still has nothing though.moreless
  • Saya enrolls in the Vietnamese boarding school to get to the bottom of various disappearances and chiropteran sightings. Gee, I wonder if the two are linked.

    9.1
Vietnam has had a lot of chiropteran sightings, it would seem. Saya investigates disappearances of local girls enrolled at the boarding school by going undercover there herself. Haji also goes undercover, as a gardener. I gotta say I liked his other outfit better...

Anyway. Saya meets her, um, very sociable roommate named Min, who tells Saya the story of the mysterious "Phantom," who apparently has fallen in love with black-haired girls and left them blue roses, shortly before they disappeared.

Suspecting the phantom and the chiropterans are linked, Saya goes to the school's bell tower and comes face to face with him.

Now, even though he's wearing a mask it's obvious that the phantom is Carl, the chairman. He's just got one of those distinctive faces, ya know? I can't believe Saya didn't recognize him herself, because as far as I know, she's seen him before. Oh well. They gotta build up the suspense.

And the drama: At the very end of the episode, the Phantom leaves Saya a blue rose.

    Dun dun dun.moreless
  • Evidence is mounting; Vietnam has it's share of chiropteran sightings. David's team is sent to investigate. Saya infiltrates a girl's school that seems to be the center of the evidence. Hagi trims the roses. The Phantom is revealed.moreless

I enjoyed this one as well. I rated it as good in the poll. I give it a 9 of 10. I liked this one more than the previous two. This ep seemed to go deeper into a number of the plot threads. The romance between Saya and Haji is hinted at a number of times. I particularly enjoyed the lunch scene where Saya is taking the sandwich like one of the coneheads. I laughed out at that one. What caught my attention other than the humor was Saya's response that one of her friends had said something similar. I wonder if hunger is a part of her nature??? Perhaps time and further eps will answer that question for me. There were a couple of references to the pharmaceutical company linking the roses with the delta blood. Of course, I am inferring the link, but then I think that is what we are supposed to do. Why did Min remind me of Willow? Maybe it's just the voice and the choppiness of her dialogue. Anyway, I will say that I was totally horrified by the opening scene...let's just dump Kai and Riku in a Vietnamese port city and then pull a skedaddle on them. At least they left a master card. I liked the fight scene....reminded me a little of a matador when Saya side stepped the phantom's second lunge and plunged the dagger into his shoulder. What I don't understand is if Saya thought that the phantom was a chiropteran, then why didn't she bloody-up her blade before she stabbed him? Would not that have worked for a big nasty like that?moreless
  • Alright!

    9.0
Saya has left for the Vietnamese boarding school, and she is to study things there, and how it's all related to earlier incidents. She is introduced to the school, and some of it's legends, including the one of the phantom.

It also seems Haji is working as the gardener, and he is admired by the girls. Haha, who'd guess that?

Kai and Riku also gets left alone by David and the others, with a credit card that has a HUGE amount of money on it.

At the end, Saya is heading up a tower in the school at night, the one where the phantom is supposed to be, and she actually encounters it. How cool is that?moreless
  • interesting.

Saya enrols in an elite school for girls in order to investigate a murder and a series of disappearances that happened there.Hagi also goes there undercover as a gardener. They are particularly interested in this school because the murdered body was sucked dry of all blood(familiar?).From her rather talkative roommate named Min,she finds out that the "phantom" of the school chooses girls who look a lot like Saya(basically, with black hair).Hagi gives Saya a knife to defend herself in case the phantom attacks. Then,Saya confronts the phantom on the bell tower of the school. He is a chiropteran but there is something different about him.He seems strong enough to fight in human form(much like Hagi) and is also smarter than the average chiropteran(that is,a normal chiropteran is strong but not smart;much like an animal). This episode is interesting as it introduced a new enemy for Saya and shows that there are higher level chiroptera.moreless
