Nick: Is there anything I can do to help you with this midterm?
Blossom: Actually, yeah. Do you know anything about Judaism?
Nick: Well, as a matter of fact, I do know a couple of things. I know they read from right to left in that thing.
Blossom: The Torah.
Nick: That's right. Oh, and they play with that little spinny thing.
Blossom: Dreidel.
Nick: Right. And, uh, oh, they wear that, uh, tiny cap on their heads. What's that called? The, um...
Blossom: Yamika.
Nick: Right.
Blossom: Thanks, Dad. You've been a big help...
Blossom: (about a religion-based project at school) See, I got one of the biggies because when they asked us what religion we were, I was the only one who answered none.
Nick: That's not exactly true, Blossom. We exchange gifts at Christmas.
Blossom: So what's that religion? Retail?
Nick: Look, I was raised in the church, but I rejected it in the 60's, along with everything else my parents liked. Your mother got her religion from Buzz. She worshipped train schedules and happy hours. So we decided that until you could choose for yourself, we would bring you up believing in the strength of the family.
Blossom: The divorce kind of hurt that a little.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar appears in this episode as Six's boyfriend. These two actors later went on to appear together in a made-for-television film called Dying to Belong.
This episode title is an allusion to R.E.M.'s 1991 hit "Losing My Religion", which is from their 1991 album Out of Time.
