This was a thoughtful episode that left me thinking about how things in one area of our lives impact other parts and how we sometimes find it difficult to differentiate between similar circumstances, lumping them into one. There was of course the old "don't judge a book by its cover" lesson here as well, but what really got me thinking was how Erin's judgment seemed clouded because of her losing one case and thinking,even if subconsciously, that she had to make up for it in this one. It's perfectly normal, I think. At least, I know I do that from time to time.

It seems difficult to find the time it takes to think something through and weigh all sides of the equation. We live in an 'instant' society where the word deliberation seems reserved for juries. It's a good thing, I think to gives things time to percolate in our hearts and minds and also to sleep on a decision.

I most enjoy TV that makes me think some and this episode and Blue Bloods in general has done that all season. I am grateful that CBS renewed it.moreless
