This episode shows how every one is feeling, With Jonesy and Ben getting very annoyed at each other, and it is well written and well performed, with Susie breaking down. They havent had any time to even think about grieving with everything going on and new cases pouring in. I think that at the wake, people should have talked about Jo, Grace and Clancy a whole lot more, mostly PJ, I mean this is the only time he really does grieve for Jo and it's hardly anything. A good episode, The Susie/Ben/Jonesy bits made it woth watching.
Tensions mount between Tom and the Baxters - Troy was found crushed under his car, which Tom is claiming was an accident (says he found Troy like that) but Barry Baxter says Tom killed him. Barry shows up at the wake for Clancy, Jo and Grace and gets into a drunken brawl with Tom.
New recruit Kelly O'Rourke shows up, all blond and fresh and pretty. Not too fussed on her character, she seems to perky and contrived. And pretty. There doesn't seem anything to her beyond her blond prettiness.
Meanwhile, the old crew - Susie, Jonsey, Ben and PJ - are all on edge, and Ben and Jonsey start squabbling, causing Susie to break down. I really like the way the characters are struggling to deal with the aftermath of the bombing and deaths, which is why Kelly and Amy grate on me - they're too much like intruders.
These new episodes don't sit with me as well as the older episodes did. Maybe its the intrduction of newer characters, maybe there was only so much bitter vengenace I could swallow before I longed for the mor epeaceful Blue Heelers, but I wasn't nearly as big a fan of these new eps on first viewing, and second viewing didn't change things.
