Well this one did make me cry at the end.
A boy (Toms next door neighbour) is lonely and bullied. He is living with his grandmother who really cannot care for him very well after the loss of her husband.
They boy befriends Tom who doesn't want this annoying kid hanging around him.

This episode has the newly cranky Tom show a bit more of a sensitive side. Tom ends up trying to help the boy out with the bullies and his grandmother.

Being very loyal to Tom the boy gets shot trying to protect Tom. The final words between them really got me.

    Boy: Did I help?
Tom: No you got in the way (holding back tears)
    The boy then dies.

Sorry but I do not remember the boys name.moreless
