Wayne returns to work after the shooting and the Boss informs the rest of the members to treat Wayne as normal and he's bound to be a bit jumpy at first. Nell has baked Wayne a cake for morning tea and all the Heelers sing to him.
A Mrs Stewart comes into the station with the diary of her daughters. It contains references to drug use and she claims that a Damian Parker is corrupting her daughter. Maggie and Wayne pick up Kim from school to bring her down to the station for questioning about the entries in the diary.
Meanwhile Wayne is having flashbacks over his shooting incident as he spots another blue vehicle abandoned at the side of the road. Wayne approaches the car and and orders the young woman to get out of the car and put her hands on the bonnet. Nick turns up at the scene and she complains to Nick that Wayne scared her and her child and that his gun was drawn.
Damian Parker is brought in for questioning by PJ. He denies that the dope was real and claims it was only herbs. PJ asks Mrs Parker if they can search their house and they find drugs on the premises and Damian claims it is not his and that he is minding it for someone.
Nick and Wayne attend a road accident and they find that its Darren Coates in the car and there is a strong smell of dope. Tom informs the Coates that they have a warrant to search their premises and asks if they will accompany them, they decline choosing to stay with Darren who is in hospital in a coma. Nick brings in Damian for questioning about the drugs, he says he can't tell them. The Heelers after questioning Kim, find that its Jimmy - the icecream man that has been supplying the students with drugs.
Maggie, Nick and PJ stake out the school waiting to catch Jimmy selling drugs to the students. Maggie photographs the act and PJ arrests Jimmy for supplying drugs. The magistrate grants bail for Jimmy and the Boss orders Nick and Wayne to pick up Damian Parker. Wayne locates the two and Damian has Jimmy with a knife at his throat.
