The obvious suspect is Cal Mallic, who had words with Jo shortly before the blast, and cannot account for his whereabouts. His denies his involvement, and gets increasingly anxious.
Tom is convinced the Baxters are involved, and is determined to prove their guilt. Nick tries to keep an short leash on Tom, without much effect, and tries to assert his authority. I quite liked that he was different to the Nick who left six years ago - more assertive, more ambitious.
Detective Amy Fox arrives, and immediately ruffles PJ's feathers. Interested to see how she assimilates herself into the station, she seems too sweet for the team as they are at the moment - bitter, vengeful, on edge.
Tom goes on the hunt for his wife, who is found raped and murdered and dumped in a lack near the Baxter's house. The episode ends with Tom ominously informing the Heelers that Troy Baxter died on an unfortunate accident...
Great acting in this episode - Ben, Susie, Jonsey etc are all on edge, contrasting with Nick's businesslike manner and Amy's sweetness. And John Woods finally gets to show a different side to Tom - bitter and vengeful. I wasn't too fussed on New Blue Heelers, But I thought it was about time they gave Woods a decent role.
