Blue Heelers

There's bad ecstacy floating about Mt. Thomas, and the Heelers are trying to work out who's responsible. Initial evidence points to a local farmer and his daughter, then shifts to the local scented oil manufacturers. After they run into dead end after dead end, Joney's drug squad brother Dylan and his partner arrive to take control of things. It's obvious from the get-go there's a lot of bad blood between them - mostly on Dylan's side - and that Dylan was their father's favorite.



Dylan has chronic tunnel-vision when it comes to nailing a suspect, insistant that the farmer and his daughter did it when Jonsey's gut instinct says the oil manufacturers did it. The bad blood between the brothers comes to a head at Jonsey's 30th birthday party, with tragic results.



A very good episode with typical high standards of writing, acting and characterisation. One thing that bugged me - Dylan was supposed to be the younger brother, although he looked a fair bit older to me. And Jonsey doesn't look 30. And am I the only person who wishes Jonsey and Susie would just get together?
