Shortly into this episode, Dylan Jones dies from an ecstacy overdose. His father is convinced Dylan's drink was spiked, though as the episode goes on, all evidence points to the contrary. It turns out Dylan was corrupt, and Jonsey has to tell their father. Jonsey goes out on a limb to protect his brother's name - although ultimately there isn't much he can do - in a touching testimony to, regardless of how much of a pain Dylan was, Jonsey still loved him.
We find out why Dylan was their father's favorite, and there are some touching scenes between Jonsey and Susie, as well as Jonsey and his father. I wish Jonsey and Susie would just get it on already.
Ditch Davey did an excellent job portraying Jonsey's anguish and anger, and his willingness to do whatever it took to protect his kid brother, even in death. Blue Heelers has consistantly ferreted out quality talent for the show and it's a pity there will be no more such talent coming from that particular source.
A very good episode, and why Blue Heelers was such a popular show. 8.5
