The serial killer is still at large in Mt Thomas the latest murder victim reveals enough dissimilarity to indicate it was not the same killer. While PJ and Tom try to track down the copycat killer, both Amy and Garth return to their original suspects. However, Amy's suspect turns out to have an alibi. Such is the antagonism now between Garth and Amy that she is more determined than ever that psychologist Bill Lapscott is innocent. But is she right? PJ witnesses Garth losing his temper with Bill, and when some quiet digging reveals that Garth was also a childhood victim of sexual abuse, PJ puts him on the suspect list against Tom's better judgment. But when Amy learns of Garth's past, she is furious, and angrily confronts him for not telling her this when she told him about her own abuse. Meanwhile Susie and Jonesy follow up on a report of a baby left in a car, only to find the baby has mysteriously disappeared. And Kelly is outraged when she thinks Joss is stealing chocolate bars from the charity box Mark has set up in the office. Amy is heading back to the office late that night when she is attacked by an unseen assailant
