Mark befriends a young boy who demonstrates great artistic promise during a routine investigation into thefts in Widgeree. When Mark breaks a promise under duress from his family, the boy turns against him, with tragic consequences. Jonesy's first foray into criminal investigation goes horribly wrong when he breaks his cover to save a drowning woman who is not as innocent as Jonesy suspects.moreless
  • This for me was the best episode of Sergeant Mark Jacobs as we finally got to see the pressure the man was under.

This is another great episode of season 12 even though there has already been many fine episodes but this one was different because the character of Mark Jacobs finally started to shine through. This probably only showed through in this episode because finally Mt Thomas is starting to settle down after the events of the last 12 months. This episode allowed us to really see inside Mark's life and was helped with a great opening recap.

We also got to see in this episode the qualities Jonesy has that will see him become a very fine detective into the future. Amy and Jonesy working together is an interesting idea and the further exploration of this is something that is exciting and may turn out to be even better than previous Detective/Uniform relationships on the show.moreless
