Pillow Talk
AIRED:
Jonesy is stunned when Donna tells him that the people who hired Theo to kill Hugo Allen were in fact the police of St. David's. As he goes about investigating secretly, he learns that the police have not been caring about Allen's disappearance. When Amy finds out about his investigation, he is forced to get Donna to talk to her. Donna confesses that Louis Chang, a restaurant owner in St. David's, runs an illegal casino from his restaurant and she was a call girl there. She was with Hugo when he found himself in trouble with Chang, and subsequently Chang had his police buddies order Hugo's death. She had a mobile phone with pictures of the casino on it, but it was stolen when Jonesy's room was ransacked. Amy believes Donna's story, but decides not to tell Tom in case he, too, is corrupt. Jonesy and Amy go to Chang's posing as a dating couple, but are interrupted by Inspector Falcon-Price and St David's multicultural police liaison Lucy Wu, who are also dining there. Jonesy suspects that Falcon-Price must be corrupt, since he's clearly been to Chang's before. Amy meets with Andrew Reid of St. David's, who is also suspicious of Chang's and they conduct a raid, but find nothing. Meanwhile, Joss and Kelly decide to break into the big time by investigating a corrupt driving instructor; Susie becomes confused after Ben keeps leaving her love notes and showering her with affection - even though he ultimately promises to stop, but she isn't so sure; and PJ is worried when a tape that is the only evidence of an assault on a local man goes missing in his care. After the man dies, PJ is surprised when Amy finds the tape in the property room, because he checked there several times. Amy and Jonesy meet with Theo Kallergis who claims Donna is on drugs. Jonesy doubts it, but is distracted by seeing Lucy Wu watching Theo's house. Falcon-Price arrives at the station and informs Tom that Amy and Jonesy are conducting a covert operation. Tom asks them to bring Donna in to make a formal statement, but Amy is still worried that they can't trust anyone. Donna comes in and tells Falcon-Price what she knows, but he basically denies any credibility of her evidence. Later, Jonesy is worried that he has put Donna in the firing line, but Amy assures him that Falcon-Price can't have her killed now that everyone knows she is involved, and the list of people he will have to have killed is quickly growing. Just then, Ben interrupts them - Theo Kallergis is dead, having fallen - or been pushed - from his balcony...moreless

  • The plot thickens with Donna and Jonsey. Ben finds it difficult to let go of his relationship with Susie.

    7.0
Donna maintains her story that the St. Davids cops are corrupt and Theo killed a man she had serviced as a prostitute. Jonsey comandeers Kelly in his off-the-record investigation of the man's disappearance and discovers the SD police have been impeding the investigation.

Donna clings tighter to her relationship with Jonsey, who has decided to stick by her come what may. All I can say is, the sex must be fantastic...

Meanwhile, a tape which is crucial to prosecuting a man who killed another man goes missing. The Heelers tear the station apart looking for it, PJ searches his home - no luck. And then suddenly Amy comes up with it...

Ben has taken his break-up with Susie with a certain degree of denial. He wooes Susie with erotic love notes - one of which ends up in Tom's hands. He ends up backing off a little, and Susie goes to ask him something, only to have the scene switch. TBC...

Of course, Falcoln-Pryce is livid at the suggestion that HIS station is corrupt, and does everything he can to dismiss the allegation, including doubting Donna's word as a former prostitute. Now Donna is even more terrified, and Jonsey assures her that FP has to kill several people before Donna to make the chain of evidence disappear, among them, a prominant business owner and Donna's former pimp, Theo. Then the Heelers get a call; Theo has 'fallen' from his second-story apartment and fatally cracked his skull...

Quite interesting, a good cliffhanger, although I hope they don't make a habit of this ongoing story arcs. For the most part, I prefer the self-contained stories. Good acting and writing all around, although I have trouble seeing FP as corrupt - more likely, he's just refusing to acknowledge that people under his command might be corrupt. Interested in seeing what happens.moreless
