The change in the characte of Tom Croydon can be clearly seen in this episode when compared against his attitude in Letter of the Law during season 8. If you were to watch these two episodes together you would be left wondeing why Tom Croydon has such a different attitude.

In one scene during the flashback to the investigation of the missing boy, when Jones and Jo are interviewing the boy's mother, we hear a toilet flush.
