  • Jonsey and Susie's blossoming relationship is threatened by the arrival of Susie's football hero, who may or may not be involved in a spate of robberies.

Susie coaxes Jonsey to ask her out, and they agree to go out the following Sunday. They arrive at the break-in of a former football hero, who shows an interest in Susie. Evan graciously lets Susie go out with him when he arranged to take Susie on a tour of the local football club that Sunday.

As the spate of burglaries increases, the former player - who injuried his knee and was forced to retire - comes under suspicion. Susie accuses Jonsey of being jealous, and they bicker. Later, they talk, and he admits he is jealous and only cancelled their date because he thought it was the mature thing to do. She calls him an idiot for thinking she could be interested in someone else, and, with typical TV timing, their almost-kiss is interuppted by Chris - Susie's football hero has gotten into a fight; turns out he's got quite a temper. Susie is guilted into going on her date and bailing on Jonsey once more.

The Heelers are forced to unravel conflicted stories and years of resentment between players. By the end of the episode, Susie and Jonsey are divided again, Susie unsure of what lengths Jonsey was willing to go to to prove her football hero was the one responsible for the robberies - which he did, out of resentment for his lost career (killed when he got drunk and fell down some stars, wrecking his knee).

A good episode, with some nice scenes between Susie and Jonsey, although it seemed to exist just to create tension between them. 8/10.moreless
