Steve invites us in. He's wearing a messy paint shirt because he and Blue have been busy painting. We help him to find Blue - she's hiding behind a picture that Steve drew of her. Throughout the day, we explore various forms of art. We go outside and help Blue with her wagon. She wants to paint the wagon and has some neat ideas for colors to use, but finds that the colors she wants aren't included in the paints that she has. We help her out, showing her that if you mix two of the colors, you can get a new color. We mix red and white to paint the wheels pink. Then, we take yellow and red and the handle is painted orange. After mixing up a few more colors, Blue has a nicely painted wagon. We then help out a couple of felt friends who are trying to make a boat. We use a semi-circle for the bottom portion of the boat and then we need a mast. We find that if we put together several even-sized squares, they make a perfect mast. Finally, we create a sail by putting together a trapezoid and a triangle to make a single, larger triangle. In the Blue Skidoo segment, we check out an art museum. It has all sorts of neat paintings, sculptures and drawings. We also find that it has a set of pictures that tell a story. The only problem is that the pictures aren't in order. We help out by using logic to figure out where the story starts, where it ends and finally where the middle goes. With everything corrected, the story is about Magenta deciding to paint a picture on a sunny day. She paints a picture of a farm. She completes her picture and by then, it's started raining.
