Blue has a picture book to look at called Animals, Animals, Animals. This book is filled with cool animal pictures, but today when she and Joe open it, they find that the pages have gone completely blank! They don't know what's wrong, until they make a startling discovery. All of the animals from the book have escaped and are roaming inside and outside of the Blue's Clues house. So, as Joe looks around for clues, he also encounters all sorts of animals and gets our help to identify them. One funny animal that seems to be showing up a lot is a goose, doing things such as giving us the notebook. We find a monkey under the bed, using his tail. We send him back to the animal book where we see that in his natural forest habitat, he uses his tail to hang from branches to get food. We get a call from Slippery, who can barely believe that there's a platypus in the bathroom. We see that the walrus uses its webbed feet to swim. Next, we find Shovel and Pail playing hide-and-seek with the armadillo. The armadillo has the ability to roll up in a ball. It uses this avoid predators. Mr. Salt spots a walrus in the kitchen. It uses its large trusks to dig holes in ice in its chilly habitat. Later, we find Periwinkle otuside buliding a fort. He's having a beaver help him by chewing a stick in half so that it's easier to lift. We see that in the beaver's natural habitat, it uses its sharp teeth to make a lodge (den) for itself. We also meet up with a giraffe, who uses its long neck to retrieve Blue's favorite ball when it gets stuck on the roof of the Blue's Clues house. We learn that in the wild, it uses the long neck to reach tall tree branches and eat leaves.
