Today, the characters in the Blue's Clues house are faced with some difficult situations which are rather frustrating. Fortunately, Steve has an idea for what to do when you're frustrated about something - stop, breathe and think. This comes in handy for him when he's trying to get the picture by the Thinking Chair to stay straight, but it just keeps going crooked. By breathing and calming down and then getting our help, he's able to get it straightened out. Later, he has trouble when he's trying to write a clue and his crayon breaks, but he manages to keep on going anyway, even though he's stuck with half a crayon. Another frustrating situation happens when Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper are trying to pack for a picnic. They can't figure out why things aren't going right, like when they try to make a cheese sandwich, they end up with a piece of cheese sitting atop two slices of bread. After taking a deep breathe and stopping and thinking about it, they and we realize that the first thing to do is set down a piece of bread, then put the cheese on top, then put on another slice of bread to complete the sandwich. Later, in the Blue Skidoo segment, we help Rabbit balance blocks on a teeter-totter. They all keep falling down, but we find that if we keep putting the blocks on so that each side has the same amount then the teeter-totter stays balanced.
