Joe welcomes us in, as he plays with a toy train. He and Blue have set up a train track and Blue is all dressed up as a conductor. Blue sends the train moving along a track, but then it disappears. We wonder where it went and it turns out that it slid behind the toy chest because we ran out of track. We go to get it and find a secret door hiding behind the treasure chest. Wondering what's inside, Joe and Blue open it and find "Wish." Wish tells them that it's their Wish Day and all day long, he'll make their wishes come true. Blue and Joe love the idea and Joe wonders what they should wish for first. He decides to wish that they're very small, so they can take a ride on the train. We all sing a song called "Wish Come True" and suddenly we're small and able to take a ride on the train. It all goes great until the train comes to a stop. It turns out that Joe's stuffed duck, Boris (who looks huge to us now) is blocking the path. In this episode, we have lots of fun with neat wishes and help out some of the characters to make their wishes come true. We return to our normal size by touching our pinkies to our noses - that's what you have to do to make the wish end. We find Pail, who's reading a book about a horse. She says that she wishes it was a real horse that she could ride, so we wish to make her dream come true. She, Blue and us have fun riding it around the backyard, before finally returning it to the storybook. We get a call from Tickety, who's all dressed up, pretending to be a princess. She wishes that she could be a real princess, so we wish a castle into existence and meet a princess, who lets Tickety wear her crown. Then, we visit with Mr. Salt and Cinnamon. Cinnamon is crying because he's hungry, but Mr. Salt's been busy and hasn't had time to make a snack. He says that he wishes sometimes that snacks grew on trees, so with the help us Wish, we turn the backyard into a snackyard filled with delicious food that's enough to make both Mr. Salt and Cinnamon happy.
In this episode, Joe plays Blue's Clues to figure out what Blue's wish will be. The three clues in this episode are:
Clue 1: The Backyard
Clue 2: Ice
Clue 3: Gliding Back and Forth
Based on one or more of these clues, can you figure out what Blue's wish will be? The correct answer is:
To Go Ice-Skating (In the Backyard)
Using magical powers and the "wish" song, Wish makes Blue's idea come true. We have fun skating around the backyard and with more wishes, we even add hot-chocolate and snow.
Having had her fun ice-skating, Blue visits her special playroom, where Fred is pretending, as usual, that it's her birthday. Today, she decides to wish that it's her birthday and the playroom is turned into "Birthday Party Land." Blue just loves birthday parties and especially loves birthday cake. We help Blue to make a birthday cake for Fred, with the aid of Dish, putting in eggs, flour, milk, which are magically turned into a cake. Fred blows out the candle and it's a happy birthday. After Blue's Clues is over, Rory the dinosaur is seen practicing his roaring in a special segment. Along with us, he does a "Silly Roar" and a "Whisper Roar." Blue joins in for a "really long roar," but Green Puppy impresses us all with a really realistic-sounding roar.
