Blue's friend, Magenta is coming over to the Blue's Clues house. As we wait for her and get ready, we help out some of our other friends. We help Shovel and Pail with a game of hide-and-seek in the backyard by following footprints. We help Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper create a snack for Magenta and Blue, using the concept of opposites. A Blue Skidoo segment takes us into a felt frame, where we try to help two Felt Friends dress up in costumes.moreless

    • This episode breaks from traditional format in a couple of ways. Blue gets to clean the pawprint off the screen, but it is normally Steve that does it, or Joe in later episodes. Also, Mailtime takes place rather close to the end of the episode, instead of more towards the middle. Additionally, rather than being hidden, one of the three snails is pointed out and discussed.

    • Michael T. Smith is credited as Michael Smith.

    • Magenta comes over to Blue's house, but this isn't her first visit. We also saw her back in "Blue's Story Time."

    • Mailtime Segment: A friend comes over to a house to play. So everyone has fun, playing with blocks, having a snack and playing dress-up. Afterwards, the "Mailtime" song starts up again. It turns out that Mailbox has a special package for Steve, containing something very important.

    • Steve: This is one of my favorite things.
Steve references the lyrics of "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music when talking about the package he gets from Mailbox. Raindrops on roses And whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles And warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things
