Steve welcomes us in, saying that he and Blue are going on a nature walk. Before they go, he'd like to check the weather conditions, but he's a little scared because he's worried that the weather might keep them from going on the walk. He covers his eyes and asks us to check the weather for him, so we do and report that it's sunny. Steve thinks that this is great because it means that he and Blue can go on the nature walk, but Blue seems to be worried that the weather might change. In this episode, we learn more about all sorts of weather. We hear radio static and go to check it out. Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper are trying to get a weather report on the radio, but it doesn't seem to be working. Steve decides to be weather-reporter Steve. We help him out by describing the conditions outside the window of the Blue's Clues house: there seem to be clouds moving in and then covering the sun. Not only that, but the temperature on the thermoteter is going down and it starts to rain. Curious about the rain, Steve suggests a skidoo to learn where it comes from. So we skidoo into an area with a puddle, where we find a water drop that can talk. It explains the water cycle to us. It starts out as water in the puddle, but when the sun comes out, it causes it to get hot, spread out into the air and rise. It then joins up with other water vapor in a cloud high in the air. As it gets colder, it condenses back into a water drop and falls to the ground. We learn that the whole process then repeats over again as it sings about it and Blue and Steve join in.
