Blue's Clues

Steve welcomes us in, saying that we're just in time to help clean up. We find an old tissue box and a milk carton and Steve thinks that maybe instead of just getting rid of them, we could turn the trash into something new. He draws the three-arrows recycling logo on the screen to show what he's talking about. In this episode, we have fun coming up with new uses for old things that seem like just trash and help our friends with this as well. As Steve is busy washing his hands, we hear something, or somebody. It turns out it's a group of recycling bins who are eager to get some recycling done. There's bins for Paper, Plastic and Metal. As we look through some of the stuff we're recycling, we help Steve to figure out what each thing is. For example, an old soup can is metal and so is aluminum foil. An empty milk carton, on the other hand, is paper, while an empty juice bottle is plastic. Later, we find Tickety and Blue. Tickety has some old buttons, wrapping paper and a coffee can. She wants to make something new out of them, but she's not sure what. Blue wraps the paper around the can and we add in the buttons, making a maraca. Then, Blue skidoos into a model town she made and we go to. There, we meet Al Luminum, who says we can call him "Al" for short. He's the mayor of Recycle Town and he needs our help to figure out how to recycle some things. By observing and thinking, we turn trash such as an old tire into a tire swing and an old cup into a toy phone.
