      • This episode is the first of five episodes of an arc designed to introduce Mr. Salt and Mrs. Peppers' new baby.

      • Mailtime Segment: Mailbox shares a new joke he made up with Steve. Steve likes it so much that he decides to put it in "Blue's News." In the letter, a group of schoolkids, two girls and two boys, decide to create a newspaper called "Our News." They fill it with information about their activities, such as athletics, choir and dancing.

      • The "Skiddoo News" includes visible headlines and even readable text.
