Blue is outside in the backyard trying something that she's never done before - rollerskating. Steve encourages her to go slow and maintain balance and she's successful in skating all the way across the crosswalk and onto the grass. Steve thinks that it's incredible news and so they have to tell everyone about it and wonders just how they can. Blue has an idea - she shows a picture of her rollerskating and Steve thinks it's great - they can put together a newspaper called "Blue's News." Now that we have a newspaper, we search around for things to put in it. We find Sifter and Shovel cheering on Pail. It turns out that Pail's been practicing trying to make a basketball basket. We watch as she tries - it isn't successful, but it was close. Her good try makes it into "Blue's News." We also find Tickety Tock counting - she counts all the up to twenty, which is good for the newspaper. She vows next time to count to 25. Later, we skidoo into a different newspaper - the "Skidoo News." There, we learn about Porcupine, who just got his first haircut, Baby Bear, who ran his first race and made it to the finish line and a chick who became a brother after a new chick hatched.
