While recovering from his gunshot wound, Nucky receives shocking news about his father. Jimmy's rise to power causes him to reevaluate his relationship with Angela.

The Commodore uses his contacts in the Coast Guard to stop alcohol from reaching Atlantic City. With his transportation hurting, Nucky reaches out to Washington's new Attorney General, Harry Daugherty, to ask for a favor. To try and prove he's worth something, Owen stops a delivery that was headed for Lolly Steinman. At a dinner party, two dinner guests end up arguing inside Babette's. Margaret sheds her pretense with Katy and the rest of the household staff. Finally, Lucy tries to deal with her loneliness.
