While I appreciate the visual style of Boardwalk Empire, too much of the plot in these one hour episodes revolves around Enoch "Nucky" Johnson's family life, or at least his relationship with his mistress Margaret Schroeder, sometimes I feel like I'm watching an episode of Upstairs Downstairs as opposed to The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City.

you should probably just watch something else til the season ends, then download the remaining episodes. i like 'Hung' but i havent watched a single episode from the current season. but i will watch em all back-to-back once its over. its a drag to put aside time once a week to catch a show and only to have them fail to continue the storylines that most interest you. i know what you mean. domestic bliss aint gangster.

i think they just do this stuff to satisfy larger demographics. for my part you could remove margaret schroeder altogether. its just filler. look how much farther 'the strike' and 'chalky's justice' storylines progressed in the last episode. i dont think they spent 3 minutes on em. munya drank some whiskey and choked a guy. angela's death was shocking. that was something 'you had to see.' but i agree, too much of turn of the century antlantic city borders on 'yawning chasm.'

since the ratings on tv.com for each episodes are more or less through the roof this season, i guess that no one cares what you think^^
