Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo

Season 1 Episode 35

King Nose Hair Presents "Follicle Follies of the Future"

Aired Saturday 9:30 PM Jul 01, 2006 on Cartoon Network

  • Trivia

    • When Torpedo Girl says, "I'm a torpedo!" during the previous episode recap, the sound effect that accompanied it in the previous episode is gone.

    • Dengaku Man's kiss of death symbol somehow disappears without anyone peeling it off or disappearing when Torpedo Girl was defeated.

  • Quotes

Bo-BoBo: Oh, boy. You gotta lava or leave 'em!

    • Bo-BoBo: Now for the judgement of Mars! Let's eat! Hot food!
(Bo-BoBo's face turns red and breathes flame on everyone)
Torpedo Girl, Jelly Jiggler, & Don Patch: Hot! Aaah! Hot! Aah!
Beauty: This food was supposed to be mild!!!

    • Narrator: The master of evil? Are you kidding me? That's no hairdo. That's a hair-don't. And who sleeps on a pile of gold coins? Hey, buddy, spend some of that coin on a futon or something. You know who sleeps on a mattress? Bo-BoBo. The pro with a fro knows there's no place like foam.

    • OVER: Say hello to my big scissors!
      Jelly Jiggler: That's big.

    • Bo-BoBo: Tell me, who was it that did this to you?
Don Patch & Jelly Jiggler: Uh... Bo-BoBo.
Bo-BoBo: Huh? Get rid of the witnesses. (attacks Don Patch & Jelly Jiggler)

    • Bo-BoBo: (to OVER; about Jelly Jiggler) He won't work for you!
Jelly Jiggler: Are you saying I'm lazy?

    • Narrator: (about OVER's castle) It's falling apart! What will happen to our heroes? Meanwhile, in a small, sleepy town, a prune-picker named Max-- What? What, we're staying with this scene? Never mind. You could have told me sooner.

    • Narrator: Well, judging from the sound of the music, things are better for our gang, but as for Torpedo Girl, it ain't over till she's OVER.
      (Torpedo Girl transforms into OVER)

    • Bo-BoBo: You don't seem to understand the universe yet, do you, little lady? Our solar system is part of the Milky Way galaxy, which is a small part of the universe, which is made up of billions and billions of stars and washed-up has-beens which make up the greater cosmos. The universe rocks!
Torpedo Girl: I don't understand this show!

    • Jelly Jiggler: Presenting the judgment of Uranus! Ta-da!
      Beauty: Don't go there!
Narrator: Attention, viewers. Sometimes on this show we walk the fine line pronunciation and pronounciation, but Beauty's right. If you go there, you'll come back different.
      Beauty: That's lucky?!

    • Bo-BoBo: And now it's the judgment of Jupiter.
Beauty: What has Jupiter got to do with Christmas?
      Bo-BoBo: Merry Jupiter!

    • Bo-BoBo: Now it's time for the judgment of Venus.
Beauty: This could take forever or even longer!

    • Beauty: (thinking) Amazing! The battle just keeps going on and on without ever stopping. It's kind of like most of the Narrator's lines in this show.

    • Torpedo Girl: My seal has far more power than anything you could ever have. So deal with it!
Bo-BoBo: Huh? It peels right off.
Torpedo Girl: How did you do that?! This can't be happening! I knew I should have gotten the iron-on.

    • Torpedo Girl: My kiss means a seal that never comes off and pain that never leaves you... like a tattoo from an ex-girlfriend.

    • Bo-BoBo: Well, this thing ain't over yet, Torpedo. I'm about to bust out the secret weapon.
Torpedo Girl: (laughs) You already said that! Who proofreads your scripts?

    • Bo-BoBo: (reading title card) Episode 35: "King Nose Hair Presents 'Follicle Follies of the Future."

    • Narrator: Bo-BoBo is one of the greatest skywriters in the world. In fact, he's skywritten several romance novels now available in paperback. But even Bo-BoBo needs to cut the jelly every now and then. It just goes to show you should never read and fly. It's not safe.

    • Narrator: The gang was flying, and the fighting was fierce on the last Bo-BoBo. Things got heated with OVER, lead singer of the glam-band Screaming Albinos, but the game was not OVER, as he... became a she.
Torpedo Girl: I'm... a torpedo! And I'm not joking! (attacks Jelly Jiggler)

  • Notes

    • During the Pluto scene on the Planet Judgment part, you can hear the 4th Movement to Symphony No. 9 from the New World by Antonín Dvorák.

    • Second time in the American dubbed version that Service Man flashes.

    • A whole bunch of characters from episodes 1-35 make cameo appearances.

    • This is Pickles' 2nd episode.

    • Suzu returns in this episode.

    • Service Man re-appears in this episode when Bo-BoBo used him in his judgment of Neptune. His last appearance was in Episode 33, "It Ain't OVER 'Til the Fat Lady Sings!."

    • In this episode, Bo-BoBo used the Super Fist of Nose Hair, "Planet Judgment." He used attacks by summoning powers from each of the 9 planets to defeat Torpedo Girl, and hurt Jelly Jiggler and Don Patch in the process. Here are the attacks he used for each planet.

Mercury: A flood and a lightning storm.
Venus: Bo-Bobo gives Don Patch, Jelly Jiggler, and Torpedo Girl a piece of paper that tells them to look for his treasure, and they only find three coins.
Earth: Dropping a boulder on them and pushing them off a cliff into lava.
Mars: Bo-BoBo eating really hot food and then breathing fire to burn Torpedo Girl, Don Patch, and Jelly Jiggler.
Jupiter: Bo-BoBo running over them with a sled and reindeer.
Saturn: Don Patch enlarging his spikes and then spinning to attack Bo-BoBo, Torpedo Girl, and Jelly Jiggler.
Uranus: Jelly Jiggler whacking everyone with his "nu" hankerchief.
Neptune: Bo-BoBo using a spotlight to lift up Service Man's blanket to show his butt to the others.
Pluto: Pluto coming down and causing a tsunami that engulfs Torpedo Girl.

    • Both Rice and Hatenko re-appear in this episode after all the marks made by OVER disappeared. Hatenko's last appearance was in Episode 33, "It Ain't OVER 'Til the Fat Lady Sings!," and Rice's last appearance was in Episode 30, "Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold with Shitake Mushroom Sauce."

    • This episode marks the first time Bo-BoBo World has failed.

    • King Nose Hair re-appears in this episode as result of Bo-BoBo going to Bo-BoBo World. His last appearance was in "World of Blabs-a-lot: The Sappiest place on Earth!"

  • Allusions

    • Narrator: There's no place like foam.
This is an obvious allusion to the old saying, "There's no place like home."

    • OVER: Say hello to my big scissors!
This is an allusion of the famous line, "Say hello to my little friend!" in the movie Scarface.
