The Entangled Nose Hair of Destiny! Who Will Pass the Test?
AIRED:
Gasser chose to be the first one to battle the Battleship Five Quartet, and stepped onto the first platform while the others wait. He gets there, and sees all 6 of the Quartet there, not knowing they would be fought individually! Gasser walks out, and goes back in to see a classroom! Gasser starts to study, but realizes he has to fight, and gets yelled at by a girl, who is Bo-BoBo in a disguise, who leaves. Gasser goes into the cafeteria, which is a revolving sushi bar, and sees his old friend, Loincloth Lloyd! Shortly after the battle starts, Gasser discovers that as long as Loincloth Lloyd continues to use his Red Loincloth Typhoon attack, his own attacks are useless. And because of his collar, who tries to come off so Gasser becomes a baby again, goes the wrong way, and chokes Gasser, so he loses the battle. Bo-BoBo goes next for battle number two against Calendar. He defeats Calendar fairly easily, by taking him through the months from January - June, and destroys Calendar. Then, the Calendar day of June 7th comes, and reveals himself to be the real member of the Battleship Five Quartet, as Bo-BoBo takes him to Bo-BoBo World, from the Softon episode for their battle, where they meet King Nose Hair again!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • The featured battles are: Gasser vs. Loincloth Loyd and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo vs. Calendar.

    • Don Patch references his churro selling business at the end of the episode. The last time this was mentioned was episode 2.

    • When Don Patch asks Gasser how many "big shocked reactions" he made, Gasser replied that he made 6 of them. But if you look closely, Gasser holds up 7 of his fingers, implying that he made 7 big shocked reactions instead of the 6 he said.

  • QUOTES (13)

    • Don Patch: Win one for the flipper!

    • (Gasser is shown teleporting away to the room that they are in on a camera feed, but Dengakuman teleports into the room that Bo-BoBo and company are in instead)
Dengakuman: Hi, guys! Make them eat tofu on a stick!
(reaction shots of Jelly Jiggler, Don Patch, and Softon)
      Bo-BoBo: OH, NO!
Dengakuman: Make them eat tofu! (teleports away)

    • Bo-BoBo: (throws an inflatable killer whale at Calendar) I'm gonna "wail" on you!

    • Don Patch: Hey. How many times did you use the shock expression?
      Gasser: Let's see...
(shows all the instances he was shocked)
Gasser: Six times! (he gets thrown out the ship, as it is a far away shot of him falling, he is marked by an arrow)

    • Narrator: What is Bo-BoBo World, and will the rides be closed for repair? And what about the appearance of the honorable King Nose Hair? Will Bo-BoBo finally get Beauty back?! And how screaming mad is she going to be? I'm taking that day off. Bo-BoBo! Win you must, for your cause it is just!
Bo-BoBo: Aw! I don't believe it! I forgot to do "Bo-BoBo Theater" this time!
Don Patch: Hold it! Since I didn't appear in this episode very much, I'm gonna throw in a bonus feature segment of "Don Patch Theater." What do ya say? S'all right!
      (Don Patch Theater starts playing)

    • Bo-BoBo: Are you all right? Who did this to ya?
Calendar: (crying) That would be you.

    • Calendar: What are you gonna do about this?! You tore off all those pages, now I only have 6 months left to live!
Bo-BoBo: Then get revenge! If you're a calendar who's true to his craft, then avenge your pages by tearing me off!
      Calendar: You got it! Huh?
Bo-BoBo: Then do it! I can take it!
Calendar: (thinking) I'd rather leave it than take it, Mr. Six-pack. What exactly am I supposed to tear off? The buttons on his shirt almost seem glued on.

    • Calendar: (screams; to Bo-BoBo) You weren't supposed to wear flippers! It was a joke!
Narrator: Remember when Don Patch said, "win one for the flipper"? It was a while ago, and it wasn't very good, so I thought we'd try it again.
      Softon: It's so lame.

    • Katsu: I hate reliving these flashbacks.

    • Collar: Hey! Somebody unbuckle me!
Narrator: Gasser's collar is from a trendy boutique in Tarzana. It keeps Gasser's colonic cacophony corked up. Without it, Gasser is quite the passer!

    • Bo-BoBo: Pomade Ring. Oh, you're back. Did you win?
Narrator: Yeah. Pomade Ring, battle one. Gasser versus Loincloth Lloyd. Who will win? Gasser and his stinky attack, or Loincloth Lloyd and whatever's behind the curtain?

    • Bo-BoBo: Due to circumstances beyond our control, our regular narrator is in Laughlin, Nevada, enjoying a complimentary stay at a casino with free food and beverage. So I, the Bo-tector, will have to pinch-hit for that little pipsqueak.

    • Narrator: It's the year 3001.5. The wretched Chrome Dome Empire is controlling humans by means of its harrowing Hair Hunt and its fiendish leaders: the big four. One man stands tall, courageously protecting his hairpiece and the peace of hair for the entire world. That man is... Okay, Bo-BoBo wrote this opening, didn't he? Captain Battleship, one of the Chrome Dome Empire's big four, has turned Beauty into a doll and stuffed her with beans. Better her than Gasser. He keeps her captive in the massive yet poorly-decorated Pomade Ring, as he anxiously awaits Bo-BoBo. Don Patch, Gasser, Softon, and Jelly Jiggler pounce like putrid pigeons onto the Pomade Ring. Suzuki, recently laid-off as head of security, flew like a falcon fogey with encouragement from Bo-BoBo and the others. He has also filed an age-discrimination suit against his former employer. Bo-BoBo had his hands full with Suzu, a femme fatale, sent by Captain Battleship. The fight was both grueling and grilling as they grappled with a grouper. When the table was cleared and dessert was finally served, sweet little Suzu was too stuffed to continue. Captain Battleship sent his henchmen to do his dirty work. The award-winning "Battleship Five Quartet." Ah, who's counting anyway? Gasser chose to be number one. He stepped forward and disappeared in a cloud of glory, or possibly refried beans, as he went to rescue Beauty.

  • NOTES (8)

    • Original Japanese Title: "The Entangled Nosehair of Destiny: Here Comes the Next Test!"

    • This is the first episode in the entire series that Beauty does not appear in.

    • Loincloth Lloyd, Gasser's old friend who was introduced in episode 17, returns and reveals the fact that he is one member of the Battleship Five Quartet.

    • The six times that Gasser has used a shock expression while in the battle room is as followed:

      1) When he sees all members of the Battleship Five Quartet in the same room.
      2) When he re-enters the battle room to find a oom full of mask wearing people.
      3) When he pulls off the mask of one girl student to reveal Bo-BoBo.
      4) When he goes outside to apologize to the girl student and sees her wrestling a sumo wrestler.
      5) When he re-enters the battle room again to see it has become a rotating sushi bar.
      6) When he sees Loincloth Lloyd on the moped riding along the sushi bar.

In the Uncut Version, there was one more instance of Gasser's Big Shocked Reactions:

      7) When Gasser sees Loincloth Lloyd's messed up memories with Gasser pulling on the loincloth!

Hence why Gasser was holding seven fingers instead of it being an edited six.

    • There was no "Bo-BoBo Theater" in this episode. Instead, the episode finished off with "Don Patch Theater."

    • This is the first episode where the episode has ended with a "Don Patch Theater" segment instead of the usual recap by the narrator.

    • King Nose Hair re-appears at the end of this episode once again in Bo-BoBo World.

    • Dengakuman re-appears once again in this episode, and this time, Bo-BoBo, Softon, Don Patch, and Jelly Jiggler actually see him for the first time.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Quote: "Win one for the flipper."
This is an allusion to Ronald Reagan's "Knute Rockne All American" where he uses the line: "Win one for the Gipper."
