Problably since King of the Hill? A few weeks ago on The Simpsons, Homer drove the car thru a skateboard park and the stops in mid air. The Simpsons is now too cartoony.
No I don't see this as realistic unless insane is normal life. But I do see parts of the show as mirroring my relations with my childhood friends and the crazy things we did and the way we spoke. I can also relate with the character Tina considering we both share the first name and body style with glasses at that age. Only the hair colour is different. Although I do recall allot of moaning and sulking due to the hellish time I had in grade school. I also had very low self esteem back then. Still kind of have some residual from that considering you get traumatized from all that former bulling.
