  • Look at the dirty, political side of life as a resident...

After watching ER go downhill on NBC since the death of Mark Greene, I have been looking for a serious medical drama to fill the void. Reading a sneak peek article in Entertainment Weekly turned me on to this BBC show which is a look at the dirty, political side of life in the GYN-OB ward of a public hospital in the England. This show presents life and death situations between doctors and patients, doctors and residents, doctors and nurses as well as showing how the Board of Hospital can have a direct affect on the way a hospital treats its patients. This show, like many BBC shows, is a treat to watch for its superb acting, compelling stories lines and a more realistic view of hospital life from all angles.moreless
