I don't know what the other reviewers was watching but I was bored to death with this one. The 2 most hackneyed plots in TV crime drama are 1) the black man on death row or trial for murder who is really innocent and 2) one of the main cast members accused/arrested for murder and, despite a mountain of evidence, is exonerated by the end of the episode. Credit to the writers for managing to squeeze both cliches in the same episode. The ending was sooooooo predictable there was no suspense whatsoever. To me this was virtually a "jump the shark" installment. If Dana Delany wasn't so pleasant to look at, I would have given up a long time ago.

BTW, in Philadelphia, 85% of the homicides are committed by blacks. When was the last time we saw this on this show?moreless

The writers and actors have really outdone them selves the year! This is the same show as the previous seasons but at the same time it isn't! It is Greatly improved in all aspects! RENEW!!
  • Such a great season!

I have so much fun with the characters, that I don't really care about the case at all... I hope for renewal this year more than I ever did before. First two season were fun and entertaining, but this one is Great for me! Can't wait till the next episode...

    • Dr. Kate Murphey: What the hell are you doing?
Dr. Megan Hunt: (referring to Chief Martin) That woman has an agenda.
Dr. Kate Murphey: Yeah, a legitimate one. She's gotta stand up against corruption in her own ranks.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Oh, that was really good. Where are the teleprompters?

    • Det. Tommy Sullivan: So let's go have a drink.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Oh, are you sure? The last time you asked me out, you got arrested for murder.
Det. Tommy Sullivan: You did come back to the bar that night to take me up on my offer.
Dr. Megan Hunt: I never should've admitted that.
Det. Tommy Sullivan: No, you shouldn't have.
Dr. Megan Hunt: It was a momentary lapse brought on by three tequilas.
Det. Tommy Sullivan: Which I hope to replicate with three more.
Dr. Megan Hunt: You are the eternal optimist.

    • Det. Tommy Sullivan: Listen, I don't know how to thank the both of you.
Det. Adam Lucas: Yeah, that's not really true. He tried to hug me. Didn't go down well.
Det. Tommy Sullivan: Yeah, he's uncomfortable with displays of affection.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Oh, it's nice to know the two of you are so evolved.

    • Dr. Curtis Brumfield: If Kate finds out we helped you, we all goin' down, big-time.
Det. Adam Lucas: If it makes you feel any better, I'll probably get fired, too.
      Dr. Curtis Brumfield: It doesn't.

    • Chief Angela Martin: Now if Detective Sullivan wants to make bail, of course, he can do this on his own.
Det. Adam Lucas: He can't make bail. Bail is set at two million dollars. Could-could you ask the D.A. to reduce it?
Chief Angela Martin: Why would I do that?
Det. Adam Lucas: As a gesture of support to one of your own.
Chief Angela Martin: I can't take the risk precisely because he is one of my own.
Dr. Megan Hunt: So you're going to let an innocent man lose his career and his freedom--
      Dr. Kate Murphey: Megan.
Dr. Megan Hunt: ...because you need to cover your own ass and get a really good headline?
Chief Angela Martin: For all appearances, Detective Sullivan dug his own grave. And for whatever reason, you seem very anxious to join him.

    • Joan Hunt: (about Tommy) Well, you're not gonna like what I have to say, but I never trusted him.
Dr. Megan Hunt: You really do have a knack for saying the exact opposite of what I want you to say.

    • Chief Angela Martin: (To Megan and Adam) Now from the beginning, neither of you should've been on this case. You are not any longer.
Dr. Megan Hunt: I don't work for you.
Dr. Kate Murphey: I'm pulling you at the Chief's request. She's absolutely right. The police department and this office have got to maintain objectivity.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Objectivity or appearances?

    • Dr. Megan Hunt: This is not about discussing the case. This is about trying to get me into bed.
Det. Tommy Sullivan: That is a big assumption.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Oh, really? You're telling me that if I said "yes" right now, "Okay, let's go to a hotel." you would say no?
Det. Tommy Sullivan: That's not a fair question because I'm a guy.
      Dr. Megan Hunt: Mm-hmm.
