  • Better but...

That was better, but still shaky.

First, I'm going to join drb1267 : I'm right handed but keep my wallet (and my phone, my in my left pocket. So what Megan said should have been seen as a lucky guess, not an evidence.

Second, I knew mid episode who the killer was, because I was sure they would want to make some allusion to Megan's relation with her own daughter and the "He loved her so much he killed her". I think they should have made her ex the killer, but made it difficult or even impossible to prove (that happens), the father coming out of the blue was that awesome.

BUT ! I liked the fact that Megan DID back off in her job, that she didn't played the detective or poked her nose where it shouldn't be. So I'll watch episode 3.moreless
  • All men who keep their wallets in their left pocket are left-handed? With this one misconception, Dr. Hunt is convinced that this is a double murder, not a murder/suicide.

I wanted to like this show, but since I am right handed, and keep my wallet in my left pocket, this episode really has me worried about the writing.

If just one character had challenged Megan on this, I would have felt better.

If they can mess up on something so simple, how badly could they be getting the more complicated things?

They also happen across a restaurant using a certain natural cleaning solution, then find it on a victim'a clothing.

There is no chance that any other restaurant, or anyone else, for that matter, could be using this homemade cleaning solution?

Seems like a very flimsy reason to press one suspect for more information...moreless
  • A fair second episode of the series. A series that deserves some credit.

    9.0
So I want to fight for this show because some many people are slamming it. I have been looking forward to this show for months and so far I'm enjoying it. The fact is that everyone wants to criticize the minuet details that allow Megan to solve the case. What is being forgotten here is that House did the same thing and its still running despite his use of the flimsiest medical theories ever to save patients lives. Yes this does mean that Body of Proof takes some inspiration from this but it shouldn't be criticized cause at least it is trying to challenge the usual 'stock cases' that every other crime show uses. This episode I really enjoyed and the killer didn't just come out of nowhere. I actually solved the crime while my friend who I was watching with was still trying to work it out. The clues are there and the show is well thought out in that it wants to challenge you to find those clues.

A very solid second episode that deserves some cred and shouldn't be judged just on the fact that one clue (the wallet in the left pocket) was making a needle in a hay stack.moreless
