Liz Green: Either of you have children?
Dr. Megan Hunt: I...have a daughter.
Liz Green: You want the world for them... to protect them and guide them. But the tighter you try to hold them...
Dr. Megan Hunt: ...the more they slip away.
Dr. Megan Hunt: You accused me of doing to Lacey what you have been doing to me for my entire life... controlling everything, my schools, my career. You picked out what clothes I should wear, the color of my bedroom...the boys that I should be dating.
Joan Hunt : And look at the result.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Yeah, look at them. I resent the hell out of you for it.
Joan Hunt: Well, maybe you should learn from it, too.
Dr. Megan Hunt: Oh, don't you worry. Lacey is never gonna feel about me the way I feel about you.
Detective Bud Morris: Lacey... that a family name?
Dr. Megan Hunt: No. It just... came to me the first time I held her. She was... soft and delicate.
Detective Bud Morris: What would've happened if she was crabby and whiny?
Dr. Megan Hunt: I would've called her Bud.
