EDIT
My Big Ears
AIRED:
This week we uncover the daily challenges of our doctors as they address what it takes to keep their practice No. 1 in Miami. This involves keeping their names on everyone's tongue, looking their best and making professional decisions — they turn down one patient for a breast augmentation who "has beautiful breasts and doesn't need one." We also get a glimpse into the special friendship among the doctors as Dr. Kelly schemes an elaborate birthday surprise … Dr. Kelly's patient today is Anna Marie, who's arrived with her best friend of 20 years, Sissy. This feisty duo is a riot: they talk alike, look alike and even dress alike. Anna has come to see Dr. Kelly about breast implants after he gave Sissy her implants. Meanwhile the doctors are having bit of fun with each other. Dr. Herman calls out to his assistant, Yvette, "Come look at the custom made helmet I got made for Dr. Kelly with his nickname on it!" In red letters it reads, "The Terminator." In a week, Doctors Herman and Kelly will be speeding around a racetrack, trying to beat the pants off each other. Back in the office, thirteen-year-old Steven has been having a hard time. After he'd had enough teasing from the kids at school about his big ears, his parents took him to a plastic surgeon to solve his problem — but the surgeon botched the job. Steven is now relying on Dr. Wolf to remedy another doctor's mistake. What Steven doesn't know is that even Dr. Wolf is unsure about how much he can fix his ears after the damage done from the previous surgery. Randi really wants her nose fixed. She hates how wide it is and wants the bump shaved off. Now that she's in graduate school for pharmacology, she's ready to have it done. While lying poolside with her younger sister, they talk about men and how scared she is of Dr. Wolf making her nose look "too done." But after seeing the computer re-imaging of what her nose will look like, she decides the surgery can't happen fast enough. Now back to the doctors of Miami Plastic Surgery … years ago, while driving to a Marlins game, Dr. Wolf saw someone land a helicopter onto the stadium parking lot. He told Dr. Kelly, "You've got to be pretty big to do something like that." So in honor of their fifth anniversary partnership and the birthdays of Dr. Wolf and Dr. Herman, Dr. Kelly surprises his fellow surgeons with a combination helicopter and limo ride to the baseball stadium. Dr. Wolf points out the window and smiles: "Is this for real?"moreless
