Where to begin with all the guest stars who appeared... * Suzanne Pleshette (who played our lead guest, "Rose Beckett" Ransom, was just months away from her signature role as Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show. * Jodie Foster (as Mrs. Ransom's young daughter, Bluebird), would star in several TV series, en route to a huge movie career (capped by The Accused and Silence of the Lambs). * Ted Knight (credited here as Edward Knight) had played villians in a series of minor, forgettable TV films and theatrical releases, but when "A Place to Hide" aired, he was in the midst of perfecting his signature role as bumbling news anchor Ted Baxter on the Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Jay D. Jones was credited as Jay Jones. Ted Knight was credited as Edward Knight. Dick Ryal was credited as Richard Ryal.
