I thought it was pretty good, although it has been many years now since it was televised. Much better than the Bonanza: The Next Generation version from a few years earlier. It still didn't capture the essence of the original show but I think the characters could have developed nicely if they had been given a chance.

I find it odd that you can find Bonanza: The Next Generation and Bonanza: Under Attack on DVD, but not Bonanza: The Return, which was a much better production that the "Next Generation" movie. It still seems odd that you can still not get the original Bonanza on DVD yet. If they don't do it soon, all of us old time Bonanza fans will all start dying off and there will be no one left who will want them.moreless
