  • a cultic religious group blames all calamities on a girl who they claim is satanic because she teaches science to children, Ben takes her in to his house alone and they have a quasi relationship. The bad people in the cult die and she rejoins them in end.moreless

    The worst Bonanza episode I ever saw, a make fun of religious groups episode, a group dressed up like the amish, that chant words like "Satan" have pentagrams "protecting them," from Satan and blame all their calamities on a girl who is simply teaching the kids that the earth is not flat, and that gravity is a reality, defending a flat earth and burning people who they deem as Satanic was done by the Catholic church in history, funny I didn't see any nuns in the episode, their is no religious group in history who chants Satan and uses pentagrams other than Satanists or black witches, this is a knock on evangelicals, also Ben takes this girl home, "alone," who is old enogh to be his daughter barely, this would be a scandal for any man to do in the time period. A religious bigoted, out of character Ben episode, who they should have fired the writer on the spot.moreless
