People start camping out on the Ponderosa. They're armed with fake property deeds and claim they've been sold parts of the ranch. The man behind the sham turns out to be one of Ben's oldest Army buddies, Colonel Bragg.
  • After falling from a Horse Ben's old Friend Colonel Bragg is allowed to recover from the injury on the Ponderosa. Meanwhile the Carthwrights found that that some families settled on parcels of their land which they have bought from a mysterious stranger.moreless

Ok if you have ever seen Bonanza it will not be a big surprise that Colonel Bragg is the cause for all the troubles of the Carthwrights. If I were Ben I wouldn't invite old friends all the time to the Ponderosa. Again after Day of the Dragon there is a good mix of humour and sinister violent scenes. For a Bonanza Episode Colonel Bragg (John McGiver) as former Military companion of Ben is a more complex character as usually. John McGiver makes a perfect switch between a funny eccentric to a sinister baddy. Also it was fun to see Hoss as a sort of Womanizer. The plot might not be new but the episode is quite entertaining.moreless

    • Adam: Now look Hop Sing, it's just not a privilege. You see the horse the Colonel fell from when he busted his leg was one Pa sold him. Now that makes it an obligation. Hop Sing: Hop Sing – obligation? Adam: Well you're one of the family aren't you? Just like me, Hoss and Little Joe. Hop Sing: You too smart for me Mr. Adam. You say I one of the family, I cannot go. I stay.
