  • Watch for the bronco riding!

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
The beginning scenes of Johnny riding the bronco are laugh out loud funny, as the actual riding scenes are intercut with horribly done close-up shots of Johnny (Ben Cooper) flailing his body though clearly stationary! Later, the romance that instantly developes out of nowhere between paralyzed Johnny and hostile nurse Ann is contrived and forced, and therefore seems entirely ridiculous. Even though Ben and the other Cartwrights are able to offer every bit of support in order to aid Johnny's recovery, and there are a few nice moments (especially the scene with Ben and Johnny in the middle of the night), the see-it-coming-a-mile-away ending has Johnny regaining his legs just at the crucial moment, and added to the other negatives cause this episode to be merely ...ehhh...okay.
