Episode Summary
Gunnar Borgstrom is the leader of a vicious band called the Commancheros. They burn houses, kill people and steal anything of value. When the Commancheros get to Nevada, Gunnar decides to visit his relatives, the Cartwrights. Meanwhile the gang capture Little Joe and his girlfriend. When Gunnar returns to the gang, he has no idea who Joe is because he'd never met his nephew before.moreless

- Gunnar says that it's been about 20 years since his sister's (Hoss' mother) funeral which was the last time he saw Ben. Hoss mentions he was a little fellow when his mother died and he doesn't remember much about her. With this in mind, Hoss would be somewhere in his early to mid-20s and Joe would be no more than 19 years old at the time of this episode. Edit
- Hoss' mother was killed on the trail and buried right there. Uncle Gunnar wasn't at the funeral because he wasn't on the trail. Edit
