This episode shows Faith Domergue in her only "Bonanza" appearance as the widow who is held hostage along with Little Joe by bank robbers the latter had dealt with earlier.
Little Joe goes to the bank to take care of business involving a financial obligation that father Ben wanted to get out of the way. Suddenly, three men rob the bank in Virginia City, but the bank clerk shoots one of them, but Joe knocks him out in order to protect him from further harm. Later, Joe rides out to the house of the widow Lee Boden. Faith Domergue, the queen of '50's horror films ("This Island Earth," "It Came from Beneath the Sea," among others), looked radiant as Boden, as soft-spoken as she is strong. But here comes Paul Richards (Trock) and his men to hold Joe and Lee hostage. But a change of fate overcomes Trock as he falls for the dark, beautiful Lee, more than his men are willing to do. They get it from Joe. During the 1961-62 third season of "Bonanza," Michael Landon's youngest of the Cartwright boys gets himself involved with women, even older ones like the character played by Domergue, in ways both romantic and platonic. It was part of his growing up process, so to speak.
