A western retelling of The Taming of the Shrew with Adam in the Petruchio role. Because of Parnell Roberts' complaints about lack of substance for Adam Cartwright the writers found a variety of ways to satisfy him artistically before he took his leave from the show. Maybe his very best expisode was opposite the indelible Joan Hackett in an adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew. Hackett (Katherine) is a fiery Spanish woman awaiting the arrival of her betrothed. Roberts (Petrucchio) and she collide in a series of scenes directly cribbed from the original Shakespeare. Humorous byplay involving the younger sister and her suiters follows the blueprint and all's well that ends well, but for Adam's heartbreak at losing Hackett to her original betrothed.
