When are they going to start playing new episodes consistantly?

    From the Futon Critic,

As FOX shuffles the schedule around for Spring...

Bones will return a little bit earlier than expected on April 2 as FOX moves Bones to Mondays at 8PM followed by House at 9PM as House heads to its series finale. Bones will be pre-empted (yeah, I know you thought there wouldn't be any more interruptions ) on May 21 as FOX airs a House retrospective on May 21 at 8PM.

Here's the link to the article: FOX's Spring Schedule

The hiatus is soo annoying that I cant even put it into words. I dont get why fans have to wait 3 months for a new episode, it just donest make sense to me!

Unfortunately this is the best way a series can get cancelled: start late, have huge gaps in the schedule, change day and time of airing. Results fans lose interest because they cannot find the program. Results series is cancelled, sad to say. I just hope that if that is why they are playing games like this they permit the powers that be to wrap up the series with a decent ending.

This isn't the first time that Bones has been switched around the schedule.

As for the gaps, FOX has baseball playoffs every year, there's the holiday break, and of course, this year there was Emily's pregnancy.

Besides all signs point to a season 8 at this point.

I had no problem going into this season knowing that 1) this would bea shortened season and 2) we would basically be getting two halves of a season very far apart.

What was annoying was FOX deciding not to air the 6th episode we should have gotten as the last episode of the Fall half of this season and holding it to air in January to lead into the premiere of the Finder.

So instead of ending the fall half with the introduction of the new serial killer Pelant, it's sorta of stuck out there on its own in January.

It could have been much simpler, possibly, for fans to accept a Fall half season of 6 episodes and then a Spring half season of 7 episodes, which is a pattern that cable shows follow.

I get the feeling from stuff I read that networks may be trending that way, i.e. shorter seasons split into halves like cable.

I meant to add, at the end of my comments, that I truly hope I am wrong!

I was just basing the comments on what I have seen with other series.

Mind you this is an established one so it has that going for it.

But my last statement holds true: when the series does wrap up for good I hope the writers, etc., have enough time to wrap it up in a wonderful way.

Well if you go by HH's comments at the Paley Fest, then the final episode of the series will both have the explanation of the 447 significance as well as the wedding.

Of course, his other comments say we have other things to look forward to as they might bring in more family members we haven't met yet, what is Angela's original name, possibly coming up with a storyline to bring back Zack, etc.

If you haven't yet, you should check out the Live at Paley Fest chat, there's a link in the Season 7 spoilers thread. Lots of good stuff in there...

As soon as I can find verification of those three titles, they'll be added. The problem is the spoiler sites rarely source anything they publish, and the episode filming order isn't always the broadcast order.
